What You Should Know About Gum Regrowth

You might be thinking about the previous article about grafting and thinking about how bad receding gums are,  but there’s good news. There is such thing as gum regrowth. Since your gums are made up of tissue that can easily be replicate it makes it very easy for your body to be able to have the gum regrow. Now there are plenty of ways to help the gum growth.

Brushing

First thing your going to do is brush your teeth with a soft toothbrush. By properly brushing your teeth you eliminate the bacteria that will harm your gums and essentially protect it from becoming damaged or even running into the same problem as before. Keep in mind that brushing too hard might cause a problem and that you should be gentle in the sensitive areas. By massaging the gums you will stimulate them meaning they get better blood flow for regrowth.

Flossing

Secondly you need to floss your teeth. Flossing your teeth both stimulates your gums and cleans out harmful bacteria. Flossing should be done minimum once a day. Bleeding is a sign that you need to floss more often. Also if bleeding occurs be sure rinse out your mouth with water to clean out the blood.

Vitamins

After proper hygiene you can take vitamins to help with the regrowth. Vitamin C, vitamin D and vitamin B9 have all been proven to help gums grow by stimulation. These vitamins such as C provide the body with nutrition that helps it heal and grow.

The Solution

You can create a solution to help stimulate your gums by mixing 3 tablespoons of baking soda and one teaspoon of water. Stir the mixture and add water until the mixture is like paste. The take a bit of the mixture with your finger and place it on the gum line. Gently and softly spread the mixture across your gums. When you are massaging the gums move your finger in a small gentle circular motion to create stimulation and growth. Be sure to massage all your gums and not just the sensitive area. The solution of baking soda makes sure that the harmful bacteria is neutralized which means your gums are less likely to decay. The solution neutralizes the acids and the soft massage helps stimulation. When you are done you should rinse your mouth out with water several times. After water be sure to rinse your mouth out with mouthwash. Mouthwash dries the area, which causes the body to send increased blood flow to the dry areas.
